The Skye Rangers Brigade has a long tradition of service and loyalty to House Steiner through four long and grueling Succession Wars spanning hundreds of years. Once again civil war threatens the Great Houses of the Inner Sphere. Our Mechwarriors have been called home, allies will be chosen, enemies vanquished, and battles fought on distant worlds under far off suns...the Federation of Skye will now decide its destiny...
Welcome to the Home Base of the Skye Rangers, located on the dark and beautiful planet Summer, within the Federation of Skye.
In the hustle and bustle of our seemingly constant state of conflict, we oft forget the command officer who dedicate their time and energy keeping the unit supplied and morale up. I also owe a great debt of gratitude to these fine officers who help keep this unit functional and well-supplied.
Therefore, Skye Command has authorized the award of the Commonwealth's highest honor, the Medal of Honor (MoH) to the following deserving commanders who have tirelessly worked on behalf of House Steiner:
General (GEN) Hrunting: Hrunting has been assisting with the management of the MWO in game unit as well as helping new recruits on TS and getting into Line Regiments.
Kommandant-General (KM-GEN) Hercu1: As anyone in Command will tell you, Hercu is religious about making sure we are all reminded to select a 'Mechwarrior of the Month and maintaining a listing of all past awardees. As our Officer of Internal Affairs (OIA), he also approves and greets a good majority of our new recruits after submitting their applications.
Kommandant-General (KM-GEN) Alexander Fury: Alex handles our 22nd Skye Rangers new recruit regiment. He personally makes sure all are assigned to a Line Regiment and often takes it upon himself to manage the 22nd SR Roster. Along with KM-GEN Hercu1, Alex also provides a welcome to new recruits and helps them find a home in the Skye Rangers.

COL Sevronis oscillated his gaze down from the control room window into the repair bays below. He paused to examine the ongoing repairs on his ON1-K, and beside that, the argument between two mechanics standing next to his ENF-5D. The one he was most irritated about was his Enforcer, which would have survived the last engagement if it hadn't been for stray friendly fire taking out the rear of its XL-equipped side torso and going into critical shutdown. "There was a fly on your back", he muttered sarcastically. "Yeah right. Those engines aren't cheap." "Sir", one of the control room communications officer chimed in. "We have friendlies incoming." "Are they ours?", the colonel asked. "Yes sir. Six battlemechs followed by salvage transports." "Very well, get the equipment and salvage processed and send the pilots to debriefing. I'll meet them there." The comms officer gave a silent salute and went about his tasks. Sevronis grabbed his neurohelmet from the nearby table, still in his jumpsuit, and walked out of the control room to head to debriefing.
Inside he found two of his LCOMs, LT1 Canefire and LT Kurbeks, standing in the front checking pilot gear on a table. Seated were SG ZeWolfie, SCP Trat, SCP Nieje, SCP Durando, PRV Shuben, PRV Bjorn, and PRV Obberon. "Stay at ease", the COL stated as he held up his hand before Canefire brought the room to attention. "How'd it go out there?" "We lost several 'mechs, but still managed a victory", Canefire reponded. "Our recon is starting to pay off at least," added Kurbeks. "Excellent," Sevronis stated with a nod and glanced about the room. "How did the newbies perform?" "Better than expected", Canefire said with a approving glance. "I'm recommending commendations." "Although PRV Shuben did take off the right arm of my Griffin when he accidentally misfired an AC20 round", Kurbeks added, but still gave a look of some approval. "Although he claims he sneezed." Shuben threw his arms up, "I thought we weren't gonna speak of that again!?"Sevronis merely chuckled. "I think you're all due for something. Get those reports to me later", he stated at his LCOMs, then looked at Shuben. "And you need more trigger discipline." "Yes, master", Shuben retorted with a fake accent and a devious grin as Sevronis left the room.
Kurbeks - to First Lieutenant (LT1) ZeWolfie - To Staff Sergeant (SSG) Trat - to Sergeant (SG) Nieje - to Sergeant (SG) Shuben - to Corporal (CP) Bjorn Bekker - to Corporal (CP) Obberon - to Corporal (CP)
Canefire - awarded Honor of Skye (HOS) for 5000+ kills - awarded Royal Letter of Commendation (RLOC) for 25+ Royal Favors Durando - Tournament Qualified (TQ) Nieje - Ground Pounder's Medal (GPM) - for having 1000+ confirmed kills.
Congratulations to the above! Keep doing what you do to make the GDL stronger! Strength through unity!
I made a short cheat sheet style strategy guide to address some of the challenges we face on the battlefield. I strongly urge you to take a look. It's an easy read, and we all need to be on the same page. I've also posted it in my channel decription on teamspeak (Cipher's Matrix). Good Hunting!
The following promotions have been awarded for dedication and excellence in battle:
William Slayer - BCOM/Hauptmann (HPT-KM)
Manxfire - Senior Sergeant Major (SenSGM)
Spiked - Staff Sergeant Major (SSGM)
All of these guys help make the skye-rangers what it is. They’re skilled pilots, they know how to keep it light and constructive in comms, and they aren’t afraid to punch the enemy in the mouth (even in the face of certain destruction). We’re lucky to have them! Huzzah!
Greetings, Rangers! How about a try to make faction warfare great again on coming friday, february 8th? Gonna start droppin late evening EU-time, droppin late into night/morning and would luv to see some of the old lads around! Bring AMS + RadarDerp!
MWOWC EU-Team: today seems to be the last opportunity to grab em prices for participation in the MWOWC. So in case you CAN attend tonight, it would be appreciated highly! I want at least one EON-component as a hanging cockpit item!
You kids with your newfangled toys! Back in my day, we had to push the AC grenades into the enemy armor by mech-hand! Our cockpits never went below 40° Celsius and our lasers went PEEEWW instead of pewpewpewpewpew!
Also important thing for those who didn't know. After this patch you can now take any mech from mechbay into training grounds with unsaved loadout. Bascially allowing you to try out different builds/skills without spending cbills/xp.
Hey William! Nice to have ye back! Can you invite Gri3f3r and CrashSteel into the academy please so they have a bigger bunch of ppl to play with? Pretty nice folks from what I have seen until now. Thx!
Tonight (EU-Time): Team Bravo does MWOWC18 drops to get the games needed for prices! Show up + participate, so we can spread PGI's blessings between as many Rangers as possible. Check the thread in TacCom-Subforum, contact via PM or show up on TS!
