We have had a recent influx of questions about a November preorder Mech and questions surrounding what Mech would be shipping in January. We thought it would be a good idea to share...
The Skye Rangers Brigade has a long tradition of service and loyalty to House Steiner through four long and grueling Succession Wars spanning hundreds of years. Once again civil war threatens the Great Houses of the Inner Sphere. Our Mechwarriors have been called home, allies will be chosen, enemies vanquished, and battles fought on distant worlds under far off suns...the Federation of Skye will now decide its destiny...
Welcome to the Home Base of the Skye Rangers, located on the dark and beautiful planet Summer, within the Federation of Skye.
PGI has announced an event and a sale for this weekend (and a few days after)!
There will be a challenge on this weekend, with light battlemechs fighting for places on leadership boards. All players can also pick up some nice items and rewards on the side just for playing matches. Not a bad little event to keep your weekend interesting!
If you don't have any good light 'mechs, don't worry. PGI have also announed a 35% off sale on all light 'mechs, including champions and heroes!
This weekend, if you hadn't already noticed is a special challenge and leaderboard event. Compete in medium 'Mechs for a place on the leaderboards, and complete the challenges for some free C-bills, cosmetic items and MC in the Medium 'Mech Madness event!
If you're short of medium 'Mechs for the event, ALL medium 'Mechs are on sale right now, including champions and heroes (with the notable exception of the Butterbee Catapult, because it's relatively new).
Finally, there will be a patch on Tuesday with a number of notable changes, including:
Our newest MWO unit, was formed as a Steiner Loyal unit. Moving forward, ALL new recruits AND returning members will be invited to the SRoA, first.
New Skye Rangers will remain in the SRoA until they are ready to be "transferred/promoted" into a line Regiment. In order to get an invite into the SRoT, a member must be promoted by a Regiment Commander <RCOM> or his/her designate. They will then transfer to said line regiment on the skye Rangers website and be given an invite to the SRoT in game, they will also be able to change their TS tags and be given MW permissions.
This serves multiple purposes.
It allows New recruits to have a tag and drop with other SRoT and SRoA members for all community Warfare operations.
It encourages new recruits to prove their utility while wearing a Skye Ranger TAG in game as well as earn Loyalty Points towards Steiner.
It provides a Unit for our SPM <casual> members to reside in while not taking up a slot in the SRoT.
New SRoA Members will be Designated in Team Speak (TS) as Recruits. Senior members of the training regiment will be made "Training Officers" or some other designation <TBD>.
I. New SRoT members WILL NOT be expected to cover their own invite cost! INSTEAD,
II. Members being promoted from SRoA to SRoT are expected to make a donation of C-bills to the SRoA of 1 million or 1 invite (whichever is lesser) before leaving.
III. A member from the Regiment that they are joining MUST provide at least HALF of the then current unit invite cost and the full fee is prefered.
Skye Rangers members wishing to join the SPM may do so, but will remain in the SRoA until such time as they are ready to join a line regiment. No FUTURE members of the SPM will be admitted to the SRoT. Current SPM members will be allowed to remain in the SRoT as long as they stay active both in game and on the SR website. (NOTE: The policy towards SPM members is subject to change)
These changes are effective immediately. For invites to the SRoA please contact Poptart81 or Hrunting on TS.
Additional details and any changes to this policy can be found at the forum link below.
MWOWC EU-Team: today seems to be the last opportunity to grab em prices for participation in the MWOWC. So in case you CAN attend tonight, it would be appreciated highly! I want at least one EON-component as a hanging cockpit item!
You kids with your newfangled toys! Back in my day, we had to push the AC grenades into the enemy armor by mech-hand! Our cockpits never went below 40° Celsius and our lasers went PEEEWW instead of pewpewpewpewpew!
Also important thing for those who didn't know. After this patch you can now take any mech from mechbay into training grounds with unsaved loadout. Bascially allowing you to try out different builds/skills without spending cbills/xp.
Hey William! Nice to have ye back! Can you invite Gri3f3r and CrashSteel into the academy please so they have a bigger bunch of ppl to play with? Pretty nice folks from what I have seen until now. Thx!
Tonight (EU-Time): Team Bravo does MWOWC18 drops to get the games needed for prices! Show up + participate, so we can spread PGI's blessings between as many Rangers as possible. Check the thread in TacCom-Subforum, contact via PM or show up on TS!
