Welcome to the Skye Rangers Brigade. You have chosen to apply for Membership to our Brigade. Your application has been approved. You are now Members of the 22nd Skye Rangers Training Regiment. My job, as Brigade Master at Arms and your Regiment Commander, is to get you up to speed quickly. In order to train you in basic Brigade procedures you need to complete the following.
2. Connect to the Skye Rangers TS server. Instructions (server & password) can be found here in our Team speak forums.
NOTE: For casual play 'Mechwarriors (i.e. if you want to be assigned to the Skye Province Militia only), please post a minimum of 1 post on our Forums to show you are active and PM me. You will not have to prove your abilities in a 'Mech drop and can stop here. If we do not receive a PM from you within ~2 weeks, we will consider you inactive and reassign you to the inactive rolls (Dropship Reserves). If you want to represent the SR in Tournament Play in a Line Regiment, complete the above then please follow the remainder of the instructions below:
4. Which Regiment will you choose (if different than indicated on your Enlistment Form)? Start by reviewing the regiment histories and surfing our TS server and getting acquainted with the personalities. Set up your TS to show your Regiment/Name/Rank as shown. [SR22]your name[PRV]. That adjustment is found on your TS header bar and labeled Bookmarks, then Manage Bookmarks, Add Bookmark. On the Add Bookmark Page: Label as desired, Address (paste IP), Nickname [SR22]your name[PRV], Server add correct Server Password, Apply, OK and you’re set up.
5. Once you’ve decide which Regiment you want to join you may be asked by the Regiment Commander to prove yourself on the field of combat. The test may include 3 Combat Drops. You will be dropping in a Lance of 4 BattleMechs. There will be two Regiment Members. They will include the Regiment SenSGM, another Regiment Member, Enlisted or Officer, you and me or my representative. You may also find yourself in an eight Mech drop with 6 Regiment Members, you and me or my representative. During the drops The Regiment SenSGM will keep an eye on how you manage your Mech. If you show the skills needed the MAA/22nd RCOM or 22nd staff will release you from the 22nd training regiment and re-assign you to that Regiment.
6. Upon confirmation of the above, you will also be promoted to the Rank of Private First Class (PFC) , Position of Mechwarrior, and assigned to the appropriate unit, based on your preferred Regiment designation on your Enlist Form and the regiment needs for new recruits. You can always change Regiments at any time by requesting a transfer by sending the Skye Front Commander (SFC) an email through the website.
I wish you all the best. You know what you have to do to go Active! You have 48 hours to respond.
