Command Lance

Brigade/Skye Front Commander (SFC):  The Skye Front Commander (SFC) is the owner, founder, and overall leader/manager of the Skye Rangers organization, as recognized by the InterNIC WWW site registration service and all applicable U.S. Copyright Laws.  The Skye Front Commander (SFC) manages the club website and has the right of final approval on ALL matters pertaining to the Skye Rangers.  The minimum Rank for this Position is General (GEN).

Executive Officer (XO):  The Executive Officer (XO) has supervisory authority over all of the Mechwarriors and his commands carry the weight of the Skye Front Commander (SFC).  The XO is the designated Second in Command of the Skye Rangers.  The minimum Rank for this Position is Hauptmann-General (HPT-GEN).

Tactical Officer (TAC):  The Tactical Officer (TAC) is responsible for the organization/management of online league play for the Skye Rangers.  This includes ALL strategic unit/clan administration, Mech purchasing, Mercenary relations, League Automation management, etc.  The minimum Rank for this Position is Leutnant-General (LT-GEN).

Master at Arms (MaA):  The Master at Arms (SaA) is responsible for all Mechwarrior training and recruiting operations.  This includes mentoring new recruits in the 22nd Skye Rangers to become active Mechwarriors in Line Regiment.  The MaA also reviews and advises on online strategies, tips, etc. to keep our troops current and combat proficient.  The minimum Rank for this Position is  Sergeant Major (SGM) for non-commissioned officers or Leutnant-Colonel (LT-COL) for commissioned officers.

Line Positions

Regiment Commander (RCOM):  Each Regiment Commander (RCOM) is responsible for overall command of their respective Regiment.  This includes checking for AWOL status, hosting a regimental website, submitting weekly Regiment reports, verifying availability of their troops for online league play and providing regular Roster updates to the SFC and TAC.  The minimum Rank for RCOM is typically Colonel (COL), although in rare circumstances, a Leutnant-Colonel (LT-COL) may be appointed as a RCOM.

Battalion Commander (BCOM):  A Battalion Commander (BCOM) has command responsibility for a battalion of 36 Mechs.  The minimum Rank for BCOM is typically Kommandant (KM).

Company Commander (CCOM):  A Company Commander (CCOM) has command responsibility for a company of 12 mechs.  The minimum rank for a CCOM is typically Staff Sergeant Major (SSGM) or Hauptmann (HPT).

Lance Commander (LCOM):  Typically the highest ranked Mechwarrior in each lance of 4 Mechs is assigned as the Lance Commander (LCOM).  The minimum Rank for LCOM is typically Sergeant (SG) or First Leutnant (LT1).

Mechwarrior (MW):  The "rank and file" of LAAF troops.  Each Mechwarrior (MW) commands one Mech.  The minimum rank for MW is typically Private First Class (PFC).  Upon reaching the position of MW, the individual is approved/certified to represent the Skye Rangers in online combat.

Training Positions

Cadet (CDT):  The raw recruit begins at this position.  Typically, a beginning Mechwarrior will start off at the rank of Private (PRV) until scoring their first confirmed kill.
