Here is my weekly activity report for the 17th.

Sunday: the 17th and the Militia battled it for bragging rights. The 17th fell short of a victory. We were out gunned by the Militia .

Monday: The 17th participated in team practice.
17th included: myself, Skunk, and Hicks from the 17th .
Other SR's to include Kap, Reddog, Eddy, Orion, Raven, Jad, and Gallows.

Wednesday: Participated in team practice:
17th included, myself and Skunk
Other SR's in attendance were: Kap, Jad, and Reddog.

Friday: Present for IRC meeting. Myself and Fox currently present at
1800hrs (CST)

Received correspondence from Matti, whom states has participated in a few games and posted on the message board.

I sent Correspondence to all of the 17th. and posted on the message boards, along with various training sessions throughout the week.

Hail, Skye Rangers of the 4th SR!

* Our unit practices have been scheduled weekly at these times: 8:30 p.m. Eastern Thursday and 10 a.m. Eastern Sunday. Several 4th Rangers and some of our fellow MechWarriors attended both of our initial practices this week. Many kills were made, etc. Our practices normally are held in the Skye Rangers 4th Open server on the Zone.

* We have challenged the 17th Skye Rangers to a regimental duel! Here are the details I have proposed to the 17th RCOM:

The 4th Skye Rangers challenges the 17th Skye Rangers to a combat engagement!

Proposed details:

* The 4th will drop onto Summer to attack the 17th near its base.
* The following maps will be used in the drop: SandDunes, Tumbleweed and Paradise.
* We'll use the same rules as TWL drops (7 respawns, three rounds if needed, etc.).
* Suggested times: 9:30 eastern Friday, April 4; 9:30 eastern Saturday, April 5; or 10 a.m. eastern Sunday, April 6.
* If neither team is able to field 5 mechwarriors for the drop, smaller equal numbers will carry out the combat (such as, 3x3, 2x2, 4x4).
* Winning regiment of the competition will gain the honorary title "Summer's Swords" and will hold the honor until such time as it loses it
in a repeat engagement with another Skye Rangers line unit.

Battle-Rom for SPM vs 17th: 03.23.03

Salute Sirs:

As commander of the Skye Province Militia it is my duty to inform you that we were victorious in our recent engagements with the 17th commanded by HPT-GEN Cyber. We engaged in three separate maps for thirty minutes each with a 3 -0 record for the Militia. I would also add that we were out-tonned and outnumbered three to four odds.

I would like to state that all Rangers fought bravely and with skill and that I am honored to call them my Brothers in Arms. Skye Province Militia was represented by myself (Kap), Reddog and Jad (proxy member). The 17th Skye was represented by Cyber, Hicks, Skunk and Eddy (proxy member). The maps played were Tumbleweeds, Shoreline and Oil Spill. On all three maps we were able to force the battle on our terms using the Roger Wilco. While both teams had their own RW channel, we had an advantage in concentrated fire on our targets.

I would also like to note that even though he was not on our team, LCAF_Skunk really distinguished himself on the field of battle by flanking our position on numerous occasions. Finally, I would like to recommend both Reddog and Jad for the Mckennsy Ground Pounders Metal because without them victory would not have been so complete. I am honored to call them both, friend and Ranger.

I hosted Militia practice on Monday, and sadly Reddog was unable to attend. There were enough Rangers present that we were still able to have a good practice. We did a few mission play and I plan on including them more often on the Monday practice. Reddog is in the process of installing a new computer and he is getting his cable hook up so I expect to see some good kills come from this upgrade. He is currently having reporting issues and if anyone could assist him I am sure he would be grateful.

The Militia has been represented at all scheduled practices this week and I have noticed many new and old Rangers have been in attendance. I have also downloaded the Banzi Bootcamp from our chat section and I would highly recommend this map for all Rangers new and old. Cyber and myself are working on a Militia vs. the 17th for this weekend. I will let you know the outcome.

And last of all, *toots his own horn* , I have finally made enough postings for my Knighthood. I was getting embarrassed seeing all these newer Rangers shooting past me on the Nobility list.

We're currently wrapping up production for Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge for Xbox, I know these souped-up aircraft are not Battlemechs, but I'm sure fans of the Crimson Skies universe won't be disappointed. We've also been busy providing our Xbox Live fans with new MechAssault downloadable content.

Over the past few months there has been plenty of speculation, email, and pleas for information regarding the future of the PC MechWarrior franchise, namely MechWarrior 5. Although an exceptional effort was made by an extremely creative and talented development team, we have decided not to continue the development of the project at this time. There were several factors in this decision, but most prevalent was our concern that we were not advancing the genre enough to meet and exceed our customer's expectations. Please know that this was a very difficult decision, but one we felt was in the best interests of our customers.

We deeply love the MechWarrior franchise, and are committed to keeping it alive. Our plan is to re-invent MechWarrior in a way that brings a fresh experience to our devoted customers and new fans alike. We would like to thank all of you for your continued support of the MechWarrior 4 series of games, and greatly appreciate all the feedback we've received on our games. We are intensely focused on delivering outstanding game experiences, and rest assured we are working feverishly on some wonderful next-generation games.

I hosted a Militia practice on Monday night from 8 p.m. until 10:30 p.m. with Reddog and the following Rangers; Cyber,D Raven, Hicks, Hellion and Eddy. I believe we made a good showing for our unit. And all Rangers fought well. I would ask that you request Arturus to add the Monday Militia practice from 8 to 10 to the combat calendar.

On our personnel status report I would like to state this is the second report that I have had no contact from Badger and have listed him as MIA.

And as you know, both Reddog and I have been given promotions to the officer ranks. As this was an unexpected event, neither of us were prepared for the advancement and we are very greatful to Art for showing confidence in our abilities. When I joined the Rangers I never planned on leaving the Enlisted Ranks, but I humbly accept the challenge and I vow not to let the Militia or the Rangers down.

Im steppin down from my possition as a TAC.

My working days are growing longer and longer and I cant find the needed time to lead u as a TAC in the near future. There are many good MWs in our team who , i hope, can step up to the challenge and take my place.

Its good to be an SR , and a plan to stay with u guys for a long time.....

Art , pls move me to the Snord's Irregulars if possible or whichever unit u feel fit.

Fox, I'm transferring TWL league Admin right to u till u find a TAC. As my last admin move I promoted CyberSolo to Team Captain .
We are currently attacked by Sinto Warriors at the Merc league. Pls take care of that battle too.

Reporting for this week.

I corresponded with my team this week as to where we want to take the 17th.

SSGM HICKS, COL GALLOWS, and Myself Participated in various training sessions during the week.

CP Matti, Participated in a few training sessions, and read and posted on the Message Board

CP Matti will be taking leave next week.

As you may or may not know, we have been in contact with {UD} in reference to a "TWL"training scrimmage/Challange. I have informed them that we would accept a challange for next Saturday. (8th) I will keep you informed of the Matter.

We the 17th would also like to open a challenge to the other SR Units. A friendly battle/training session for both sides.
