Identification (ID) Lines/Skye Rangers 'Signatures'
ID Lines will serve to standardize communications within the Regiments and quickly allow identification of the position, rank, name, unit, Preferred Mech, Medals and Noble Patents for each Mechwarrior. This "ID Line" should be used in all official Skye Rangers communications.
Please refer to our Positions, Ranks, Medals and Nobility pages for detailed acronyms, information and graphics.
General ID Line format:
Position /
Noble Title - Rank - Name /
Regiment / Lance / Preferred Mech
(Medals)
Position, Name, Unit & Mech Designations:
An ID Line for Colonel Firewalker, Regiment Commander, 4th Skye Rangers, Lance I with a Vulture mech preferred would read:
RCOM/COL Firewalker/4th SR/Lance I/Vulture
The basic ID Line for GEN Arturus Steiner would read: SFC/GEN Arturus
Steiner/Command/Kodiak
A typical basic Mechwarrior's ID Line: MW/HPT-KM Hydra/10th SR/Lance I/Argus
Adding Medals:
The Medal abbreviations are:
|
Eagle's Feather (EF) | |
|
Dragon Slayer's Ribbon (DSR)
|
Unit Citation (UC) | |
|
McKennsy Hammer (McH) | |
|
McKennsy Ground Pounders Medal (GPM)
|
Order of Katherine Steiner (OKS)
|
Order of Tamar Tigers (OTT)
|
Honor of Skye (HoS) | |
|
Alliance Star (AS) | |
|
Medal of Honor (MoH) (w/ -sb, -gc, -dc) |
Medals are added as a second line under the main ID Line (in increasing order of importance) as follows:
SFC/GEN Arturus Steiner/Command/Kodiak
(McH/OTT/HoS)
Please note that if your unit has a unit citation/award, Mechwarriors of the unit are allowed to display the same in their ID Line.
Adding Noble Patents:
Noble titles are added to the ID Line (if desired) right before the Rank and Name of the Mechwarrior. For example:
SFC/Margrave GEN Arturus
Steiner/Command/Kodiak
(McH/OTT/HoS)
However, please note that displaying one's Noble Title is at the discretion of the individual Mechwarrior. For example, Citizens rarely denote this in their ID Line, generally preferring to wait until Knight is attained.
