KM Guillotine has been awarded a new Patent of Nobility (Knight) in the Skye Rangers for his activity in the Comstar HPG Forums.

 

A Knight in the Lyran Commonwealth typically has holdings/estates of ~10 km2 and has an allowance of 25,000 credits/annum for followers, retinue and support staff.

Apparently, in 5 days, Infinite Game Publishing, Roadhouse Interactive and Acronym Games are publishing a NEW free game (Mechwarrior: Tactics) for the Mechwarrior Series. Seems as though there is some secrecy surrounding exactly what this game will be, but it's Mechwarrior and is reportedly a PC platform.

 

From what I have seen in a few webpage searches, this new game is not related to Mechwarrior Online. Suspicions range from a reboot of the old MechCommander game to a new Facebook only game...truth is no one know yet.

Like the SR Mumble server, you should be able to jump right to his TS server via the module "join server' button in the status module to the right.  Guillotine, along with Ghost and Alistaire have been using this server for our Wednesday night Mechwarrior: Living Legends practice sessions.

 

He also has taken some significant effort and organized the various channels for our use.

From the SR Mumble Status module on the right hand menu of this website you should be able to jump right onto the server...Hopefully, this helps you all out in MWLL Wednesday night training events!

 

We are also trying to get Guillotine's TS Server properly interfacing with the website module as well, but so far, no joy...If we can't get the module to work properly, I will remove it.

I hope you all find the website easy to use, and it has some good features (i.e., forums, ranks, medals, nobility patents, Lyran/Skye historical archives, Mech Bay, etc.).  Almost anything you will need to find can be found on the main page and Quick Links. As MWO progresses, I am certain our ISP (enjin.com) will also be adding various 'modules' to interface with the game.  So, the site functionality should improve more with time.

 

In any event, please don't forget to update your individual profiles.  Feel free to put in any RP info/backstory or avatars you like.  Please visit our Forums and join the conversation.

 

Lastly, for you new recruits, you are initially assigned the Rank of Private and then are promoted to Private First Class and moved into your Regiment fo choice in 2 weeks, assuming a minimal level of activity.

I have added our unit Order of Battle to our Roster and tag system.  Based upon your initial applications I have added these tags to each of our registered 'Mechwarriors.

 

For now, I kept it simple (i.e., HQ, Support, Assault Mech, Heavy Mech, Medium Mech, Light Mech, Land-Air Mech):

 

 

I can always add more tags from our Order of Battle if there is enough interest.

 

These tags will also appear on your profiles, but not on the message boards to keep down the clutter.

As the Skye Rangers Brigade has been back for about a month now, after an 8 year extended deployment, I am pleased to say we are off to a strong start and even have been listed on the MWO website.

 

As the MWO game develops, I hope we can entice even more recruits and be more active on the MWO Forums.

The Terran Hegemony got a new member today, but it isn’t a system, nor even a planet – the CPLT-C1 Catapult was shown to a select audience as Hollis Incorporated’s winning bid for the three year fire support ’Mech contract. Weighing in at 65 tons, this heavy ’Mech boasts a pair of Holly LRM-15’s, four Martell Medium Lasers, 10 tons of Duralex Heavy armour, Anderson Propulsion 21 Jumpjets for a maximum jump distance of 120 meters, and a Magna 260 engine allowing a speed of 64.8 km/h.
